I've run across a few old olivers A 25 and a 40 diesel both are in real bad condition. The 25 has a #12 corn head on it. It's a 2 row wide serial # 14898ba. Corn head appears to be much newer than the combine and is in decent shape. How common is this head and is it worth saving?

A #12 Oliver corn head is hard to find and is deffinietly worth saving. It would fit my 611 Ford.

An Oliver 40 diesel is rare too.I know of a nice shedded one in central KS.

How much is a 40 diesel worth? This one is pretty much beyond repair, too many parts missing and too much rust. I'll probably buy it any way plus that 25 and corn head. Neighbor has a 40 gas it was real nice 5 years ago when I looked at it last but the clutch is out now and it's outside for the past 5 years. Wants me to make a offer not sure what to offer? That one is too nice to see rust away. Ideas what it may be worth? Thanks

Adam,I always start out offering junk price for them if they arent running or need work.

The guy in Kansas wants $1250 for his 40 diesel.Always shedded and was last used 10 years ago.Has a cab.

The engine in that 40 diesel is worth something even if the combine is beyond saving.
