Ah yes , the ol 403s
I ran them for years and they served me well. We used to take off about 600 acres a year with 2 of them mostly strait cutting. for Durm wt.I would put filler bars in the first 4 rows of the concave, slow the cylinder down and drop the front of the bottom sieve down one notch and go like a bat outta he--. :o) still got 4 of them sitting out back and still bring back good memories when i go down there to look in on them from time to time.

I just bought one.It is a gas burner, gear drive with a 15 ft head I think.Runs fair and was in the shed till a year ago.I have not checked the year model yet but it does have power steering.I didn't need it but I could not stand to see it go to scrap.I may try to cut a few beans with it this fall just to shine it up a little.

Jeff, almost all 403's had a gas engines, late model 403's had a speedometer mounted at the top of the steering column behind the steering wheel a square front on the operators platform and the cab was painted white. Take care of your 403 it's a oldie but a goodie. It does a real good job threashing soybeans.
