I took this picture yesterday at the Goessel,KS threshing show.Due to about 6" of rain in the past week it was pretty muddy there.

That looks like original paint on that 60. What a nice nice rig. With the left hand head on those combines did you have to have a left hand binder or how did that work?

I agree, nice looking rig. Yes, you are correct. To pick up cut grain, the combine had to travel the same direction as the binder/swather. Dad used to harvest small grain (oats, wheat) together with 2 neighbors. Dad cut all the grain with a JD 9ft swather (left hand). Harvest was done with 2 JD 12A's (left hand) and a Case combine (right hand). JD's would start on the outside of the field. The Case would start in the middle and work out, thus traveling the same as the swather.
