Butch is right on with what he said about smokestak. Also about how the belts go, but some pics or a book would sure be nice like you said. I haven't seen any frick literature around lately, but can keep an eye out. I ran a john deere once and had the straw walkers going the wrong way. (DUHH) Looked in the top and the straw was rolling on them like it was trying to make a round bale. Folks don't forget stuff like that for a while. He he. I am quite famouse about a hammer also, but that's another story. Don't get in a hurry. :^D

The flyball governor controls the self feeder. If the power unit bogs down the feeder will stop running. You might luck out and find some pictures or a book that shows the belts. A site called Smokstak is a good place to look for such. I nothing else it should be pretty obvious how the belts ran if you study the machine a bit. Starting with the cylinder it should run with the top going towards the feeder. Crossing belts reverses direction, most but not all machinery was designed to run with crossed belts.
