More wheat harvested with antiques

We had out old combines out again yesterday and the boy took a few pics. The combines are mid fifties Gleaner model S and A-C All Crop 66B. The wheat ran rigtht at 50BPA and conditions were perfect.

38WC and Gleaner S

We just play with the oldies, we did run a full truck load with the pull types, I think 350 bushels. The real work gets done with a 16?? Case. I think 1660? does that sound right? Anyway here it is the B-in-law in the real work horse.

Here is a converted feed cart we use to dump the old combines and then boost the wheat into a truck. I added a few feet to the discharge and added a hinge joint so it would clear the barn rafters.

And here shutteling to the truck. Usualy we follow the combines with it and haul to the truck but we were just getting started.

Thanks for the great pics.I'm almost sure that Dad had a Gleaner S when I was real little back in the early 1950's.

Good pics, thanks. It really gives me the itch (pun intended) to get some wheat harvested. I bought an AC66 to use this summer but there are too many things going on to get to it. Glad you got to run yours.
