Anybody out there know of a source for a set of canvases for a 52R combine? I am getting my tanker machine ready to run. It came with a lower canvas, but it must be for an AC All-Crop or something because it is way too wide. I have one NOS canvas that is "supposed" to fit but I would like to have a spare. I have a remnant of an old canvas I can cut up for the upper canvas, but I hate to do that.

I shoulda checked on this before now, but I was too hung up on getting the Cub power unit on it to run! Harvest is about 3 weeks away so gotta get busy....

Please help!
Al

The NOS canvas seems to be for a 52R, the part number stenciled on it is correct, but it is too short. About 20 inches too short!! :o :o I am stumped on this. I checked the parts book, the main, long canvas is part number 28662KC. My canvas is 28662KD, which is supposed to work. Now, the parts book also lists a 20964K "canvas extension." I am wondering if this is what I need. Why the heck is my canvas too short???

I have another canvas that has some damage that if I can find someone to sew it, I could use a piece of it to make an extension to make my canvas work. I am wondering if someone who does horse tack could do what I need, or maybe a tent and awning shop? I understand many Amish craftsmen make binder and combine canvases, that may be an option for later but I need something in the next three weeks! The other alternative is to contact Legg Co. in Kansas and see if they have one. Their website shows canvases for a 12A JD, couple of All Crops, and a 64 and 76 IH, but no 52R.

Ideas welcome!
Al

You might try any place that make tarps. We have a couple here that will custom make canvasses for combines. I found a place that makes jumping toy things and they had a roll that they made me some out of it.
