No joke guys. We feed 4000 orphans and widows in Camboida. Check us out: www.missionreports.com/cambodia

Anyway, we have 400 acres of rice land and need a decent smaller rice combine. Preferably 4X4 with small 14' head. (diesel, hydro, preferred). Anyone who has a lead on one? Like to keep the cost under $30K. Thanks! We can give 501(c)3 tax donation credit.

how are we going to haul it?

Link

I have a nice case 700 rice with a 14 foot header but the 50,000.00 question is how are you going to haul it?

I am in Houston but old rice machines are around but getting harder to find. It is going to take alot of work to get a combine in a crate...

What are you using now?

We are using small threshing machines and cut the rice by hand with a cycle. I'd be real interested in that combine. I beieve if we took the wheels off and the grain tank, ladders, etc, it might slide into a 8" wide container. Could you measure the axel width? "Hub to hub" and let me know?

The International 15 series may be your best bet.

Here is a link to a 15 series web page.

Hey skyblu just a picky sidenote and don't get me wrong because I love that 915 but have you ever counted the rows on that cornhead on the 915 literature? I swear I counted 7 rows in that picture and low and behold I looked at my book and they made a 5 row for the 815 and 915 and a 7 row cornhead for the 915 probably for seed corn because I used to raise it and the pickers they brought in were NI Unis with 5 and 7 row heads to leave the male standing. The male was always fun to run because it never seemed to dry down and we wound up using it for feed. Anyway some trivia to chew on. Thanks for the link brings back memories.

I collect old case combines, but that is just me.

I know the wonderfull things you have done with the Case DC. I guess the question is what kind old Combine are you looking to get married too and and you need some folks here that will find them, drive or haul them to Houston and put them on a boat.

Most of the combines I have seen from the 60's are gas. If you are looking for combines from the 70's that are diesel. I would go with Gleaner. (easy to work on) I would avoid JD.

Another idea conect with some rual churchs, I am sure that is some old farmer has a an old combine that the idea of sending it around the world to help someone is something they would like.

There are lots of old MF's and IH early rotaries in the bone yards down here.

You might think about early IH rotary combine? and I would want several parts machines....

good luck

Craig, does your 700 have the chrystler slant six engine? Would it break down to 94" width? Does it have rice tires or tracks? Please email me at fmi@online.com.kh

A guy I work with has farmer friends in Kansas. They advertised a 9600 JD combine for sale on the internet. Two farmers from the Ukraine called, flew in to New York, then to Wichita, rented a car and drove 100 miles west, looked at it and bought it.It will be hauled to Houston, put in a container, and taken to the Ukraine by boat.
