Here is a sad C11 Gleaner #14339 sitting beside a hiway about 20 miles from me.They pushed it out of the way to to put a water line thru and tore the header off it on the right side.

Blaine, when you come across obviously abandoned combines like that--why not just take them home? I'm sure whoever owns the property, would just give it to you for the removal.

Nuts, I checked my plat book and I'm guessing that the widow lady (if shes still alive) across the road and down some owns this C11 Gleaner.

Around here most wont give you anything and they usually want scrap price or more .The next time I'm over that way I'll stop and ask about it.

nuts, I think your way wrong on that. Ive asked quite a few people if I could have or buy something thats been abandoned from them like a old truck, tractor or some type of farm equipment and they all say "oh Ill think about it". Well its all still sitting there rotting away.

No, Mike, I've had quite a few tell me to just come and get it. I did not say all of them do, but indeed, there's still quite a few who will. Others just sell for scrap price, which can be cheap to pretty high, such as it is, now.
