The pic below w/ the 100 combines brought back a memory. Our neighbor's wife was killed by a grain truck during wheat harvest back in the 80's. She had parked the truck and was getting out, the truck started to roll and she tried getting back in to stop it and the truck ran over her.
While that family was planning a funeral, my Dad and others all went to cutting the rest of the wheat crop for the family. There were 8 combines running in one field. I wish I had a pic. It would have been a classic today. Deere's, Gleaners, Massey's, & Internationals were represented. Dad and the neighbors all used their own trucks to haul the crop to elevator too. The family offered to pay but not a penny was charged. They were very grateful and we were glad to help.

It sure is touching to hear of how your family and neighbours all worked together to help out some neighbours in in a time of need.Alot like my neighbours this winter when my Dad almost died of infiecion in his hip during Christmas ,once the word got around, there were almost a dozen people helping in the barn to get the milking chores done while we were at his bedside hoping for things to turn for the better, and they did!God bless rural comminities all over the world!phill.
