This is my old 1460 after i spent 9 hrs washing, waxing, and buffing it. I only got to run it for around 50 hrs before the engine threw a rod threw the block. Too bad that machine was like a brother to me.

TDS, yes that 1460 looks just like it did in the catalog pics. Sure was a beauty for sure. I know you will really miss her, too. I"m so sorry for that loss.

It cracked a sleve, then the piston cought it and shot a rod threw the block at about 8pm. I sold it to a neighbor who is going to put a different engine in it hopefully, one thing about it is that it would go anywhere in mud and had a great grain sample. I was hoping to rebuild the entire combine and use it but i now had 4000 acres to combine and the 1460 was too old and small so i bought a 2006 Gleaner R-65 to combine with.

Wow. 4000 acres with one machine seems like a lot to me but I haven't been around the big machines of today to know what they can do. What state? Looks like it could be Kansas or Nebraska by the lay of the land.
