Holy cow, gas engine on a machine that can handle an 8 row cornhead.... I was happy to upgrade from a gas F to an diesel F2 & those are just 4 row machines. Can't imagine the fuel cost in a gas 915.

If the price is right, putting a diesel in such a low-hour machine..... Or parts machine.....

Never knew they put gas engines in 915's. 715 could burn 5 gallons going across the field.

My 1974 915 sales literature shows the IH 392 V-8 available with 162 hp at 2900 rpms.

The DT414 was rated at 150 hp at 2500 rpms.

That sounds like a dandy old 915 at Wilson,KS and it sure belongs in a collection.
