With all this talk about finding combines and such I know of a few for sale near Lafayette, Indiana.

I bought an oliver 520 baler from these people off Ebay and they are wanting to clean up the property. None of the combines have been posted yet, but they were taking offers.

There was a JD45 with cab, a JD45 platform, a couple of 2 or 3 row cornheads, 2 pull behind corn pickers, a couple of A/C allcrop pull behinds, a JD pull behind combine, and some other stuff, like a pair of old oliver balers, an international baler, and a A/C roto baler.

Both of the JD's looked like they would be good candidates for restoration. The rest of the equipment would marginal.

I'm in no way affiliated. I just told them I'd pass the word along. You can find the individual handling the sale, he post's on Ebay under "actionimpulse" if I remember right. Otherwise if there is any interested parties I'll post a contact name and number.

Whats the story on the 45's? If they are near field condition and/or move under there own power I might be interested. I am a stones throw from Lafayette.

I want to say the name of the individual handling the sale of this old equipment is Kurt, but I was also introduced to another gentleman whose's name escapes me. The number I have is 765-532-5925. Just tell him you heard about a bunch of older equipment he's been pulling out of the fencerows...

On my first vist when I picked up the baler they had 2 JD 45's with cabs sitting side by side next to a pair of gravity wagons. When I went a week later to pick up a manure spreader one of the 45's with cab was gone along with the gravity wagons. I would guess that the remaining 45 with cab would be the better of the two that are left. On my first visit I didn't have time to look around, on my second visit I did. Since I have no place to put a combine I didn't give them any more than a casual glance.

They are currently offering a gravity wagon and an old running gear for sale. Look for them on Ebay and I'm sure you could get his contact info by asking seller question.

Seemed like a nice guy, atleast he spent an hour showing me the equipment and helped load.
