OT-My 98 Yr Old Mom Is In Bad Shape

It doesnt look like my poor 98 yr old Mother will reach her 99th birthday on Feb 13th.She wanted to live to be 100 but she is giving up.Shes filling up with fluid and her kidneys are shutting down.Shes not eating and drinking.Remember her in your prayers.

If I'm gone for awhile you will know why.We may start staying with her if she gets much worse.

Hey 1206, Glad to hear your mom is better. Sounds like she"s had quite a life. I hope you and your family are able to spend some time with her, I"m sure you"ve got a lot to reminisce about and to be thankful to God for.

Sometimes it"s a real blessing to be around someone that age; especially if their faith is strong and they can see that any troubles in this life are nothing compared to the future glory Jesus has promised his followers. I pray this is the case for your mother.

Guys,thanks for all the prayers.I know that they have helped.I just came from the nursing home and she is some better today.Shes been bedfast for nearly 4 years with a broken hip on her right side.

She had polio in her other leg when she was just two years old but it didnt slow her down any.Shes 100% Swede and is tough as nails.We almost lost her twice a few years back but she survived.One time her blood platelets were almost zero.

Shes on oxygen and has an IV but was alert,knew me, and talked some.The biggest concern is the fluid build up and her slowly failing kidneys.Her legs are so swollen.If she would get pnuemonia it will be over.If its her time she will go on to a better place.

My prayers are with you. I sure do enjoy seeing your pictures. I like old pickups, tractors, cars, combines in that order; basically anything old. I"m glad there are people like you who try to save these old herbivore dinosaurs of the prairie.

she's had it some tough blaine. she has a son to be proud of and sometimes that helps. prayers for her comfort.
