I took this picture several years ago at Welters Farm Supply near Verona,MO.Anyone that knows old tractors knows Welters as they probably have over 300 old MM and Oliver tractors. Its a good place to spend a day and get some parts for your MM-Oliver-White tractor-etc.

Heres a nice W-4 MM Uni-Combine thats in their huge collection.

Guys, That's a late UNI tractor, "Brown Mule", has the 4 cyl inline 206 MM motor. The 700 New Idea tractor was this model. White sold the concept to New Idea. The 701 is a completely different machine, uses a 292 GM engine, they progressed from there. The earlier UNIs had a MM V4, the first ones, a flathead using Z blocks, the second on using the 445 overhead valve blocks/heads. I'm in the market for any MM Uni system parts, pieces, etc. Want to get a combine and/or a picker that work, better than mine. Like it to be in 250 miles from Chicago or Milwaukee.

i wish we all had had puters years ago. i know of 2 yards that had minnie mules about 5-6 and they all went for scrap. one guy couldnt get the money he had invested in some new heads for minnie engines so instead of selling them ,he scrapped them. another guy had people lined up to buy old spreader parts ans some very usuable spreaders and he decided he didnt want to mess with them so he threw everyones phone numbers in the trash a nd just had everything put into dumpsters for the scrap man.tried to talk to him several times. but someone got their revenge. they called epa on him. so his cleanup will be a lot more expensive. too bad , he could have made a mint on the old parts.

Jimmy, The Welters are some good people and I've had the privilege of knowing them since the late 1960's.Back then they were big dairy farmers and traded a M-5 LP MM tractor to our MM dealer at Milo,MO for a new M-670 MM.We ended up with their old M-5.I think they became MM dealers around 1969-70.

I used to tractor pull against them alot. Many a time Glenn and I had a pull off in the 13,000 farm stock class. My 856 IH against his G-1350 MM with a narrow front.
