Check out the Hey 1206SWMO post below to see why.A steak dinner could be riding on it if 5020 guy takes up my friendly wager. We will do the registry no matter what and I'm thinking of starting registries for other older rarer SP combines too.The tractor guys have them so why not us?

I say that less than 100 Case SP-12's are still left yet in the U.S. and Canada.5020 guy says there are more than 100 and with everyones help we will try and prove me wrong. We have 10 years to find all the SP-12's we can and I hope that my name is one day listed as an owner of one.

If you know of a SP-12 Case combine we need the serial number,a picture, and the exact or general location of it if at all possible.Thanks.You know this could be fun for all of us and maybe help save some old Case and other combines.

I'm going to go thru the archives here for all mention of SP-12 Case combines and will do some web searches to get this list going.

Hey1206 is there a site or an article that gives some background on old combines such as the SP-12.What does the SP-12 stand for. What years are we talking about with these combines.
Still thinking about a "combining get together", I think it would be a lot of interesting fun.

I'm by no means a combine expert, just a combine enthusiast thats trying to learn more..There are 3-4 books on combines that every collector needs.

I could be wrong but the SP probably stood for self propelled since the SP-9 and SP-12 were the first Case self propelled combines?I'm not sure the exact year that they came out but early 50's?Someone on here will know more.Info on JD,IH,Gleaner,Massey is easier to come up with.

I'm guessing that within a few years we will see combine get togethers.Yes,they would be fun.

Wendel's Case Book shows 1951 to 1955. I just remembered that there are (or were the last I knew) 2 of them near Oberlin KS which I'll check out in a couple weeks.

Tom, I've been doing some research and some say that the SP-9 and SP-12 Case combines may have possibly came out as early as 1947.It would be interesting to know for sure.

Thanks in advance for checking out the SP-12's when you go to NW Kansas. The serial #'s and pictures if at all possible would be appreciated.Have a safe trip.If the weather is decent I may be out in NW KS over the holidays checking out some old combines.
