Looking at 5020's neat pic of the 95 at work reminded of a 95 propane I saw at work in Oklahoma a couple of years ago. Did Deere make propane combines or is this a conversion. Jim

Yes us was a factory option. I have a piece of old literature showing it. I have seen a 95 and a 55 before set up on propane.

It would be neat to bring one up here to NW Iowa where the only thing propane is corn dryers and heating systems. Jim

When my Dad did the harvest run in the 60"s they ran the combines on LP and he continued until the early 90"s. They were Gleaners but not sure if they were factory or conversions. I don"t know how many hours were on the C but it finally wore out the valves and the engine was still clean.

Would it be cheaper to run on propane, or disel?

In today's market I am sure the diesel is cheaper but in the 60's diesels were just coming on in combines and LP was a step between gas and diesel.
