You guys are going to have to stop finding all these old combines to save. Next thing I know you will have bumper stickers. "SAVE THE COMBINES". I have tried to stay away from this site but keep getting drawn back here like a moth to flames. I need a support group and you guys an not them for you just keep saying 'save the combines'. Come on one more won't hurt, just one more for the road. I am not content with the 2 AC 60s, the Gleaners C,G,F, the Massey 92 and the JD 30. I want a Super 27 like my Grandpa's and the first one I ever drove, and an All Crop SP100 like I almost bought in the 80's because it was so goofy looking and I always like the looks of the neighbor's JD 55 and I like the JD 40s because the are just so cute. So stop it. Quit finding all these combines to save. I can't take it anymore.... (So if I can find a way to get those 27s in Western Kansas home how much would I have to give for them? Sure wish I hadn't sold that combine trailer.)

Considering all the usual thinghs that have befallen our old combines over the past years, and especially since the horrible holocaust began in July, 1985, isn"t all of this just about time?

SAVE THE COMBINES!

The combines you are seeing are C.C.I.L. 9600's
sold by Canadian Co-operative Implements Limited.

It's combine fever but trust me it's less expensive than women. I see your hooked. I have been hooked since I rode on the back of my grandfathers McCormick 42 harvesting wheat back in 1959. I just wished I had more storage for these old combines and tractors.

It gets kind of addicting doesnt it.The guys at work all tease me about trying to save all the old the combines.Looks like my plan is working.(grin) I know that I cant buy all the old combines that I'm finding so I'm trying to drum up some interest from you guys on here.

Back in 1974 I bought my first old tractor,an old 10-20 McCormick and that was going to be it.By1985 I'd owned 125 old tractors and had been to Canada for some of them.I was always going to buy just one more.Sadly they are all gone now including my dandy 1938 UDLX MM.

This eve I talked to a man in Oklahoma that just junked an always shedded 428 Cockshutt combine because he tried to sell it and no one even called him.He told me about more Cockshutt combines in the Enid,OK area.He said they had a great Cockshutt dealer in that area in the 1950's.

If I get to go out to Kansas over the holidays I'll try and get some pictures of the 27 Masseys and get some more info.I have a Super 27 to go look at in SE KS and know of another Super 27 in Oklahoma for $250 if it hasnt already sold.$250-500 should buy a nice 27-Super 27 MH.

One of the harder to find and more expensive old combines is a 100 Allis SP.

When I travel around on the wheat harvest I see these old machines sitting around and I sure would like to give them a new home in my yard but----- . In Canada I see quite a few Cockshutts and there is one huge Versatile pull type in Sask. sitting there but I sure couldn't bankroll getting it to Iowa. And somewhere in southwest Montana, and I don't remember exactly where, there is an Allis super 100 sitting there on the north side of the road in a pasture by a stream, hummm. By the way, in Saskatchewan I see a few big pull types that are a kind of light green in color with a little darker green grain tank and seem to be a model 9600 but I can't see a name. What are they? They look like a more modern machine, like 15-20 years old. Jim

Maybe you are looking at the Model 9501 pull type.
