Sale Report on S MM,Gleaner 6,and 45 JD Combines

Sadly the scrap man ended up with all of them.The weather conditions at the sale today near Brazilton,KS were terrible with near blizzard conditions as the sale ended.There were probably only 50-75 people there.

Due to the bad weather the auctioneers lumped off alot of the stuff to get the sale over with quickly.The S MM combine,two 45 JD combines,a baler etc, were sold as one lot for $550.I could buy the S MM combine out of there for $250 but didnt as its pretty sad.However I am getting the steering and back axle off it to go on another better model S MM combine that I can buy that is missing these items.

No help was avaiable or will ever be avaiable for loading and you only have 3 weeks to get things out of there.With 2" of rain and now possibly over a foot of snow it will make things a mess for many weeks to come.Loading things will be an absolute mess without some heavy equipment.

I found out that up until a year ago there were two Shepard Diesel tractors on this farm.There was actually a Shepard tractor dealer at Brazilton,KS in the 1950's.

1206, e-mail me or PM me on the other forum, immediately. I have a friend over by Brazilton who may be able to help deal for the Gleaner and others--as long as they are restorable. I doubt with 18" of snow, any scrapper's going to be in any big hurry to cut up those for the immediate time.
