It is/was sitting outside and it looked to me like a copy of a MasseyHarris Super 26 I guess it was made by Cockshutt Huh? Located in Sw Okla. My Dad still runs a Super 26

Yes, its possible this Farmcrest was a Cockshutt. I've never heard of or seen one though but have seen the Farmcrest (Cockshutt 30) tractor. Cockshutt combines were also sold as CCIL (Canadian Co-op Implements Limited) for a while. About the same vintage as the 428-430 Cockshutts as I recall.

Cockshutt combines were also sold as Coop and Farmcrest (Gambles) combines.I guess you could say that the name on it is rare.

FWIW: Have no idea whether there's a connection, but your mention of Cockshutt brought to mind that in the late 40s, early 50s some Cockshutt 30 tractors were sold as Farmcrest, or Gamble's Farmcrest (Gamble-Shogmo Retail Stores??)
