As far as I'm concerned this is one of the better paint schemes on an old combine. It really catches your eye.I'd compare it to a 1206 IH tractor. My Dads old 428 was an all red one.

Rusty 6 posted this picture a couple of years ago on ytmag. Its an always shedded 428 Cockshutt that was selling on a farm sale in Canada. We never did hear what it sold for.

1206, there are 2 combines like that here near moundridge, kansas. one was for parts and one was in the shed. the one in the shed had the roof fall on it a couple of winters ago, but i haven't seen it. the owner said it was un fixable but i can't imagine the whole thing being done for especially with a parts machine. you know where i am if interested i could check it out. one was red and the other one was yellow. russ

Thanks but Canada is just too far away plus my hauling equipment is very old and loves gas. Also I'm so busy that Its hard for me to get away for over 2-3 days at a time so 500-600 miles one way is just about my limit.

I did get 5 tractors out of Canada in Nov 1976.A friend hauled my 1962 Ford F-600 up on his semi.I hauled one tractor back on the Ford and he hauled 4 on his semi for $1.00 per loaded mile.A friend had him go back and get 4 more.

Thanks for thinking of me.There should be some Cockshutts in Kansas or Oklahoma.
