I ran want ads in several large Midwest farm magazines looking for a 123-125 IH,428 Cockshutt,611 Ford,203 IH,and 35-40 Oliver SP combines and so far have been offered the following.

141 IH -shedded and used until 6 years ago $350-paint fair
25 Oliver-shedded and ran 2 years ago
25 Oliver-shedded-used for parts with #9 corn head
525 Oliver-shedded-not running
Ford 611-rusty and not running-scrap price
123 IH-hasnt been used in years-modified up to a 125-scrap price?
(2) MH Clipper SP's?-owner is never home when I call
26 Massey
125 IH-owner started cutting it up
(3) 205 IH combines-2 for parts $350
Ford 611 with cab-was used until 6 years ago and still has paint-$250-motor free-tires good
Case SP-12 plus parts one-free?

I cant buy them all but am leaning towards the 123 IH,SP 12 Case, and the $250 Ford 611.I hope tp go look at them during Christmas as I'm off work for 10 days then. Most of them are in Kansas.I'm sure I will get more calls too.

I wish I had the time, money, and shed room for all of them.I also need something better to haul them with too.

Any interest in a Gleaner 6 or AC 42? These seem in decent condition, considering they have set outside for many years.

Roger,I only know of one 82 IH in this area and its still being used. The sad thing is this once always shedded combine is now left outside.

I havent ran any want ads for PT combines but may someday just to see whats around.I recently turned down a free AC 60 combine that sat outside.

AC probably sold 75% of all PT combines in this area.IH and JD were small players around here. There were several MH Clipper and Woods Brothers combines around

I didnt advertise for any Gleaners but am sure I would have been offered some if I had.I'm planning on running a want ad sometime soom for some older Gleaners.

I already have a 1954 model T Gleaner and know where a real early A Gleaner is at with the Ford flathead 6 engine. Its still being used to harvest fescue but I hope to possibly own it someday.Lots of older Gleaners are still in use yet in this area.

I was offered a dandy shedded 428 Cockshutt last night but the asking price was unreal.

Back in the 70's-80's I can still remember seeing lots of Cockshutt SP combines in Kansas so I'm sure a few are still around yet. There used to be quite a few in my area as back in the 1950's we had a good Cockshutt dealer at Kenoma,MO.

If you remember where that one is in NE KS let me know.Thanks.I need to call a guy in NW Kansas thats trying to find me some old combines as he knows of lots of them such as 21-A Masseys,Super 92 Masseys,35-40 Olivers, etc.

Haven't found the 5297. May have to settle for an Oliver 7800, same thing, different color. I am trying to buy an early 70's - 40 foot proto-type grain drill at the present time. It may take most of my extra money. The drill is not expensive but the move home could be.
