I have noticed on here that there is a tendency to only buy shedded combines. Whats wrong with ones that have been outdoors. Around here (SEWY) combines that have been sitting around for 20 years would still be restorable. I personally have 2 MM G4s that still look good and have been out there entire life. I also may have come into possesion of a Gleaner A and a MH 90. Same story. If we want to save these gems why not save them all not just the low-hour low-acreage, always shedded ones.

Also what would a pair of Case combines be worth. One looks complete and one looks like a parts machine. Dont know model number

What models are the Cases? I would say between 100 and 750.

Those Case SP combines could be either a SP-9,SP-12,120 or 150 all which are not easy fo find.

Value could be from $150 to over $500 depending upon condition.

Its the difference in climates.I'm in an area that usually gets 40-50" ( not lately though) of rain per year while SEWY probably gets way less than half that. You let a combine sit out here for 10-15 years and its a rusted out mess. All the chains, bearings and belts will usually be junk. The bottom of the grain bin and other places will all be rusted out.The engine will be stuck. The paint will be in bad shape.

An always shedded combine can usually be made field ready in less than one day while one thats sat out may take forever to restore and will empty your bank account.I will always pay more for a shedded combine as they cost very little to get running.

Theres a low acre 21-A Massey Harris SP about 30 miles from thats sat out all of its life.I've considered buying it but I'm afraid I'd pull it in two getting it out ouf there. Its a rusted out mess.If it was in dry western Kansas it would be in much better shape.I'm going to try and get a 21-A from western Kansas.

I am probably going to buy a rusty MH Clipper SP combine thats sat out simply because its rare and I cant find a shedded one.

If I lived in your area I would deffinitely be buying combines that have sat outside.Does the operator sit on the right side of those two Cases that you found?

I guess the simplest answer is you cant save them all, so take the one thats in the best condition. Often its the shedded one.
