From what I can tell the Massey Clipper SP combines seem to be about all gone.I have hunted for one for a year now and have only came across one rusty one which I will probably end up buying since its complete.

I have a sad story to tell about two old Clipper SP combines.A week ago two incomplete ones sold on a poorly advertised estate sale 40 miles away.A close friend was there that knows I collect old combines.

One Clipper was pretty well gone except it had a good header. The other one was pretty complete except for the engine and all 4 wheels. It had some paint and wasnt rusty. My friend let it go for only $10!!!It and the other one both ended up in the crusher by the time I found out about them! What a shame. My friend didnt think I'd want it since it wasnt complete. He knows different now.

Do any of you know of any Massey Clipper SP combines? Here is the link to the picture of a nice one in action.Go to page 5 in the photo section.

D&M Tools ltd here in PEI Canada has one in pretty good shape, ship anywhere in North America daily. If you want to ask about it,just google it and you will find their web site. It's self propelled too.I think it still runs too.Phill

I know of at least one that is mostly intact, still on a farm near Newkirk, Oklahoma. I never had the time to restore it, so never got serious about wanting to buy it, but since it has not been used in a great many years, it should be at least good for parts.

My Dads first combine was a 7 ft. pull type Clipper, he pulled it with an H Farmall. The year he bought it used gave $500 for it, he had it behind a Super A and when he would go after the cows he would make about two rounds around a field of Lespediza. He sold enought seed to pay for it.

Dad bought the combine from Haubine Farm Supply at Lockwood, MO. Clovis sold out and retired about 9 or 10 years ago. He stocked more Massey Combine parts that any Dealer for hundreds of miles.

Dans Clipper combine thats for sale in MI is a pull type and it is a nice one.The Massey-Harris Clippers that I'm referring to are the self propelled models which are very rare and are very hard to find.I'm not sure if one has ever been for sale on here.
