I was just happening to do a search on ebay for any combines, and i found a 1992 gleaner r52 with 320 grain head, it started at 1 dollar! now it is at $7,600, you must be thinking that there must be some catch, there is, it has 3000 engine hours and 2028 seperator hours. But still for a rather new machine that isnt to bad.

Let's say he set his reserve at $60,000.

It will not sell unless it goes above that amount. When the auction is over, if it didn't meet the reserve, it will not sell.

As well, with ebay, it doesn't matter what something is bid 'now'. People have learned to not bother bidding until the last 5 minutes. That is when all the 'action' is, and it will rise up a great deal.

Another thing about eBay, you never know how many shill bidders are bidding on an item just to get the price up. If a shill bidder wins the auction, then the item really didn't sell, and it will probably be relisted.

EXACTLY!! And when they relist it, they blame it on a DEAD-BEAT bidder!!
