I'm wondering about the value of grain carts, specifically a JD 1210 in excellent shape. The owner stated it would hold 350 bushels of corn, also has a newer 550 bushel cart that is like new. Asking 4000 for JD and 6500 for the other. Is this reasonable?

First of all, what part of the country are you located in? We bought a JD 400 grain cart for $2500 last year. The paint's faded but there's only alittle surface rust. $4000 sounds high to me for a 1210. If you decide to get one, get the biggest you can afford, or the biggest you your tractor can pull.
