I used to have a 985, and 2 neighbors had 975's. Pretty decent machines, if they aren't worn out. Easy on fuel for being gassers. Plan on spending most of a day changing heads (not a lot of fun). I think most 975 parts will fit your 970. Plenty of them at salvage yards. Some parts not available at NH dealers, but belts and bearings seem to be most common repairs... I usually go to CarQuest for those. I'm running a NH 1400 Hydro now (updated 985), with a 380 c.i. Ford diesel.
