When were the last pull type combine made? I saw a couple of pull type IH and they had a newer style look to them. A few years ago I saw a newer looking John Deere. All of them had pick up attachments on them. One of the IH had 402 windrow special on it.

An interesting link about the JD 9501 PT combine from the Harvest.com site. These guys say they were built from 90-92 by Buhler in Canada.

there are still quite a few of 6601's here on the island.the things can still fetch as much as 16 000 if they are in very good condition.some potato growers run a similar sized self propelled and a 6601 because their tractors aren't doing much that time of year anyways.if they only have 300 acres of grain in,an inexpensive older pair of combines can get the job done for them quite easily, but i wouldn't even dream of tackeling a large acreage like most of you guys cut with somthing like that, phill

The last IH pull type was the 1682,which being a 16 series has to be in the 86-88 year range. The Deere 9501 being a 9000 series has to be mid 80's to possibly near 90. The IH 1682 was near the end of production,as I remember them as being only a 1 or 2 year deal. The 1482 was built from 80-85. I still use a 80 model 1482 to harvest swathed field pea. I just updated it with a new AFX style rotor after harvest last fall, and cant wait to try it this harvest. The same conversion really increased the capacity of our 1480 SP combine last year.

The JD 9000 series came out in 89". I have a brochure for the 9501 from about 1993.

Deere made the 6601, 7721 and a 9501. IH had the 1482, Massey had the 851. All were very popular here in western Manitoba, canada. The local Deere dealer has 4 of the 7721's on hand. Hard to sell.
