You might have seen my nice Gleaner K on the photo ADs. Well a guy came and looked at it today and decided to buy it. Hate to sell it, but I need a larger machine, and don't have the shed space to keep it. I think it will have an nice retirement on the guy's farm. I still have an F2 diesel, hydro for sale if anybody's interested. I'd like to sell it ASAP and will deal on the price. Thanks.

Looked like a good machine.Did it stay close to home?

I remember one muddy fall a neighbors F Gleaner wouldnt go anywhere in the mud.He traded it for a new K gas with 28Lx26's on it.It was so wet that the first time he tried it,he got it stuck 10 ft off the end of the field. At that time we were using a 403 IH with Arps half tracks and were mudding out 10 acres per day.

After it froze up we helped the neighbor finish up and then he came and helped us finish up.He let me run the new K some. The next year with only 50 hours on the K he traded it for a new M Gleaner. In 1979 the M got traded for a new L2 RWA Gleaner. It was a great mud machine. His last combine was a new L3 RWA.He only ran 15 ft heads on them.

The new owner lives around 35 mi. away from me. It was a pretty neat machine, with bells and whistles you didn't see on other K's, it just took forever to get anything done with it, but it was dependable and easy to work on. It also had duals and it would go quite a few places too.
