Also there is a mccormick pull type swather/ windrower any info on that would be great.

Nice to see you are keeping that old thing in the corner to fix up. It is so cool that all these old combines are being fixed up today, we need them for our history!!! Take care, good luck on everything! May it combine forever!

Neil you have one of the rarest full-production combines ever. The 127s were part of the 1st series McCormick made and I would venture to guess parts would be very hard to come by. Motor parts (if needed) shouldn"t be too hard, but if there is any sheet metal work you"ll probably have to do it yourself. I must say if you do give up the project I GUARANTEE someone on this board will give her a good home!!! GOOD LUCK And let us know how your restoration goes!

Well thats good to know Albert thanks for replying. The good part is that my great uncles always had it sheded. The engines not locked and everthing on the machine you can turn by hand. The only tin work that is needed is the bottom side of the tailings return elevator and the platform behind the seat where the coons made their outhouse. Still wondering where I might find decals for this machine though.

You're gonna have to get the decals custom made, which is pretty expensive (unless you have connections). The decals believe it or not are going to be the most expensive part of my McCormick 101 project by a landslide.

Neil, Sounds like you have a great old combine there. The 127's were built from 1952-54 and are pretty rare.I have original sales lit for them.My Dad used to have a 1940's model 123.

I'm sure there are a few parts machines around somewhere.Doesnt sound like you need very much. Its always much easier to restore them when they've been shedded.

Cant help you on decals but I have seen pictures of restored 123's.

You have an oldie there... in 1975 I acquired a 127 and a 125 and used one chassis to mount a 11" x 60' grain auger on it. The "Green Diamond" motor was seized at the time but was not hard to loosen up and is still serving us well today. I believe the only difference between the two models was one had a wide rear axle and the other a tricicle setup. Rather strange! Somewhere in my "stuff" I believe I have an operators manual, I'll try and find it if you're interested. Clarence
