Sheltered life in reply to Quicksilver, 05-09-2005 11:35:50
In the combine world I lead a sheltered life.

Can you give me an idea what a "T" is like. Self propelled, pull type, era, etc.?

Thanks.

I it a very small self propelled combine, the cylinder width is only 23 inches wide and only three straw walkers are used. I bought it today, but it will be up for sale when I get it home,I'm just so glad I was able to save this great find!

Think I saw one a few years ago at Midway Implement (MN) in their bone yard a couple years ago, probably hauled away by now. Didn't know what it was at the time, Said 'Baldwin' on it, not Gleaner. Was too busy looking for my needed parts to scope it out at the time.

They don't get rid of the whole bone yard, but they clean out the dead skeletons from time to time. Those machines really get picked over, they are known far & wide & folks come a long ways to to get parts.

The place at Janesville really cleaned up when they changed owners a few years ago, they used to have a fair selection of bones as well. Not sure if they are restocking the boneyard now.

Redwood Falls has a few machines to pick over from time to time.
