Do John Deere dealers still carry parts for 55s and 95"s, or would i have to go to a salvage yard? Thanks

Worked for a JD dealership parts counter for awhile last year, most of the parts were available and stocked. Most of the rest could be ordered. Still a few 95 and 55's making a living in KS on older farms.

There is a fellow near Nickerson Ks. that has 2 55s he wants to sell. He said one is good, the other is decent. If interested I can get a price or give you his number.

I'm thinking of getting one. The other day one went for $125 (a 55) at a local auction. I ran too. I was busy at the other end of the lot so I missed that one. I was just wondering if I got one I could find parts for it. RickL, do they run, and are you in N central KS? I can't afford to haul one.

Depends on what parts you want and what series of 95 or 55. I was able to get the bearing for the variable speed unit for my 1967 95 from JD. The dealer I was at had a parts book that illistrated everything back to the old round back 95s.

TMS Stoller in Stering, Ohio have at least 30 of that series of John Deere combines. You should be able to get what you need.
