I replaced a hydro transaxle on a 111H not too long ago, not so sure now that it was bad, but in the course of coming up with a replacement found that to the best of my knowledge the 111H's hydro transaxle is essentially the same as is used in the 112L, 116H, 165, 175 and 185 before #372001. By the way, you can have that transaxle I took out if you will come and get it. I've also found that time can be bought for a hydro unit that is slipping by using a heavier oil than is specified. I think the 111H specifies SAE 20W, and I have found that 10W-40 cures them at least for a while. Also be aware that on these units the hydro unit's oil reservoir is separate from thee differential which uses heavier oil, like maybe 80W-90 or GL5.

I need a TuffTorq K51E Hydro for a Scotts (Deere) S2046. I'm sure if the JD 111 is not exact I can probably make it fit. If I can't find a reasonable used unit I will have to open the one I have up but parts aren't available. This unit failed at 260 hours. Anyhoo I'm the Beaumont area.
