rewind a coil pull string on a chainsaw

Just wondering if any one knows a good way to rewind a pull string coil.I need 3 hands and i need to rewind it do not really want to go buy a new one,it can not be that hard to do if Chinese girls can do it over in china. Model Poulan wild-thing 40 cc/18 inch bar. thanks

many spools have a notch in the edge. you can put the rope in, knot it, then wind up the spring with the rope through the notch. if not, i always use a Vise Grip c clamp. adjust it first, wind up the spool, making sure the last wind up leaves the hole for the knot lined up with the hole on the housing, then use the clamp. be sure to use proper rewind starter rope, and burn the ends so it wont fray.
