Hi guys,
I got a Snapper Commet riding mower a couple days ago. Can someone tell me what year it is? It has a serial number and has chain lift system for the mower deck. I'm not sure if it is a older or newer mower, to me, it looks old, but not antique or vintage, but I don't know. If you need, I can get a picture and the serial number. Is it worth anything? I want to fix it and use it. Thanks for reading.

nothing wrong with snappers. i cut my aunt's grass with one. they last a LONG time compared to other mowers. the only thing is that it is TOO SLOW! 11.5 hp 30" deck in the highest gear with the engine at full speed and our 17year-old 12 hp mtd can mow circles around it. that's my comment. alright i guess if you have a small lawn, wouldn't use one for more than an acre though, unless you LOVE cutting grass.

Snapper mowers have been around for a long long time.Do not know if it is worth anything, but a Snapper Dealer could tell you the year. They ride rough, but are ease to work on and do a good job mowing.Have 10 or more for parts and 3 running.I like them.My 2 cents.
