I have a 1967 John Deere 110 round fender that i have had for almost 2 years now. It used to start and run absolutly perfect but about a month ago now I went out to try and start it, it fired once, then died within about 5 second after I got it to fire. Now it won't even fire. It just sits and cranks over. I put gas in it, pulled the plug out and cleaned it, and have tried almost everything I can think of that may have gone wrong with it but no luck yet. Anyone know what may have gone wrong with it.

If it's a Kohler engine, like my 140...it probably is the points. Check those out ...also did you check for fire on the sparkplug? If it's badly corroded or burnt, the plug could also be your problem. If you get fire to the plug, put a small amount of gas in the "plug hole" before securing the sparkplug..then turn over and see if she fires, especially if she's been sitting for awhile. Good luck on 'er. Jim B.
