OK Guys, I've been through this whole board and no one's talked about Ford LGTs. I have a LGT 165 that was given to me. It has the Kohler 12.5 hp engine, hydro trans, and 3 point lift. It's had a hard life but she still does everything I ask. I use it for light plowing, disc work, and grading (I built a 4' blade from scrap iron and an old motor grader cutting edge). With water in the tires and an old set of auto snow chains on the rears she will pull until the engine stalls if I let it. Can anyone tell me about the Ford LGTs and where I can still find parts?

Thanks for all the replys guys. So far I don't really need anything for my 165 (Knock on wood) but it never hurts to know where to find them if I do. Does anyone know anything about the history of the LGT series?

I've got a 1980 LGT165 and I love it. Tough little tractor. If yours is an LGT165 it should have the 16 horse Kohler.

You can join the Yahoo group at the link below, there's a lot of people there with used parts for sale and a ton of info.

You can also try calling John at Eversharp Power Equipment in Medina, OH. They bought out another dealer's entire stock of NOS Ford/Jacobsen parts. Their number is 330-723-2480.

Sorry Dean. You're right, it does have the 16 hp engine. I thought about that after I submitted the post. Thanks for the tip about the parts. AK

Andy,
You cannot get a lot for them, they were made by Jacobson for Ford. The only way to find anything is to get it used.

There is still quite a lot of stuff available from your Hew Holland (Formerly Ford New Holland - Formerly Ford) farm equipment dealer.

Must be a territorial thing, we have tied to get parts for the old Ford tractors made by Jacobson only to be told they are NLA
