While away my wife, God bless her, and a friend removed the starter solenoid from my JD tractor and bought a new one. They just forgot to make a wiring diagram. Does anyone have a basic diagram for the butterfly terminals? (purple and black wire.) thanks

If it has two small wires to connect and two large ones (battery cables). The two small ones doesn't matter which terminal you put it on as one is hot the other is ground usually through the saftey switches. It just engerizes the solinoid coil.
