have a wh c-165, and it needs a new pto drive clutch. this mower has the horiz shaft kohler, and the clutch is just a disc on the pto . have heard that you just replace the pads, but if so, how do they come off of the disc, and how do you put new ones on. where can i get them, and about how much do they cost?

The clutch material should be riveted on with brass rivets..they are on mine..one guy has done this ,removes the rivets and the lining and got some clutch material and cut to fit and used jb weld and got along just fine..seems the only way to fix it so far..gregg

You "use" to be able to just reline the clutch disc, but several years ago WH decided to just sell the whole new disc instead.

I guess you won't have to worry about how to install the new lineing now... :>)
