Does anyone have any information on a Case Model 117 hydrostatic lawn tractor? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

What do you need to know? I was a dealer for Case lawn and garden equipment from 1974 until 1988.
The 117 was powered by a 7hp Techumseh engine, and a belt drive hydrostatic unit. The hyd. unit was made by a couple of different mfg. but both were similar in design and operation.
when I started my dealership in 74, the 107 and 117 models had already been discontinued and replaced with an 8hp unit, the 108 and 118, so yours would be at least 30 years old.
the new models were exatly like the older 117 except for engines.
In the early 80s J.I. Case sold off it's lawn and garden business to Ingersoll, and they later sold to a German co. Rothenberger I think? But the equipment is still being mfg. today under the Ingersoll trade name.
I live in the St. Louis metro area and there are still several Ingersoll dealerships in the area, I still own two of their larger units and parts and service are not a problem.
When these units were built, Case built the frame and stamped the mower deck. Everything else was supplied by other companies, just a little research and probablu every part can be replaced. Hope information is useful, I would be glad to try to answer any questions.
