My cylinder bore is approx. .004 - .005 out of round. All other aspects of the cylinder appear to be good. The size varies from 3.375 - 3.379. I plan to install a new piston and rod. Should I have the engined bored oversize because of it being out of round? I am concerned the rings will not seat. Thanks!

Yes have it bored, your rings will wear very quickly if you don't. While you re at it you might as well kick it up to a 14 hp.

Are there any issues kicking it up to a 16hp? I starting to like the idea of boring it out! Thanks

you cant get it up to a 16hp bore size, youll go thru the cyl.. but remember. the thicker the cylinder the better the heat dissapation will be,and the longer life of engine. , so dont go big if you really dont have to. lucas
