Could somebody tell me the best way to remove the starter? It looks like the engine needs to be pulled in order to access the 2 bolts holding the starter.

I've always take the battery, battery box and the left side of the instrument panel pedestal off to remove the starter. I have a 214, so I think it might involve removing the coil & condenser on a 210. The left side of the instrument panal pedestal is held on by 3 or 4 bolt: the obvious one at the rear of the pedestal, one or two at the front lower part of the pedestal that go down through the fender deck into the main frame, and a nut that is up under the lip of the instument panal. You have to move the lift lever back and forth to get the pedestal side out. Hope this helps.
