I would like to mount the lines and pump for the 44 loader to the front PTO. That way I can use the mower without taking the bucket pump off. If I had some heavy loader work, I naturally would remove the mower to get it out of the way. Anyone ever heard of this done successfully?

To do that you will also have to have the valve and reservoir on the tractor. You can't run the pump with no oil circulating through it.

That is true but as you know the JD 44 Loader is self contained and has it own reservior. I can operate the pump with a drill motor. I just wondered if anyone ever saw or heard of attaching the pump to the front of the PTO.
