I am looking at buying a New Holland GT22. The machine has less than 100 hours (69 to be exact). 2 years old like new with a 52" mowing deck. Sold new for about 7K. I think the price is OK but want to know if everyone else agrees. Individual wants out quick so the price is $3500. I called New Holland and they have discontinued the line, but the machine is basically a Toro 5xi so parts shouldn't be a problem (I have a new holland and 3 Toro dealers close by).

What do you think? Buy or pass?

We got a Ford LS-55 with a 48" deck new in 1996 and I haven't yet been able to say enough good things about it. Its been a wonderful, practically no-maintenance machine. Clearly not the same thing, but if that GT-22 has been taken care of I'd bet its a good deal.

half price - 2 yrs. old - 69 hours ; sounds like a steal - if it's been properly cared for. Other wise those 69 hours might as well be 1000.

It is a buy, New Holland still has it, for spring they are adding a "A" behind the model and painting the hood side covers blue otherwise it is still the same as the old ones.
