I want to change fluid and filter in my cub 125. I blocked the rear up and loosened the lowest steel hyd line on the fron of the transmission casing; nothing came out. It worked OK but was surgey. Is this the right spot??? thanks

Go to a Cub Cadet dealer and buy the gasket for the rear cover and a spin-on filter.
Put a wide pan under the rear end and remove the bolts from the rear cover. Oil will come out.
Clean out inside bottom of the rearend with a clean rag then clean all the old gasket off the cover and the housing. Place cover back on with new gasket. Replace filter & refill with 7 quarts of Case/IH Hytran fluid through the plug on the rear cover (a long flexible funnel helps a lot).
Works that way on my 123 & 125.

There is no drain plug on that vintage IH hydros.
You have to take off the cover.
