I have an Kohler Command 18 engine and when I first start it it only runs on 1 cylinder for about a minute then the other cylinder starts to fire but if you accelerate the rpm's it will again misfire for a short period then it straightens up. Any ideas on a remedy or cause?

Yes it could be as simple as a fouled plug, but most of the time it is the ignition module-coil going bad. You can check your coil by the manual. It tells you what the resistance should be in ohms.....

ive seen several doing this and one plug is fouled. cleaning or replacing it makes em run ok. but there is an underlying cause making the plug foul..lucas
