Just put tractor back together new ignition switch, wiring had voltage regulator and starter/generator checked and ok. Now it starts, and the Red gen light stays on after it starts wiring is correct any help much appreciated. Does the gen/starter have to be polorized? how? this is a 1966 JD 110 with Kohler K181 in it. thank you for any help possible

MAKE SURE TO RECHECK WIRING AND ALL GROUNDS.A LOOSE GROUND ON REGULATOR MAY MEAN "DEATH" ON THAT UNIT.SHOULD NOT NEED POLARIZED BECAUSE THAT USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN STARTING.IF YOU STILL HAVE PROBLEMS E-MAIL ME AND I"LL E-MAIL YOU A SCHEMATIC.GOOD LUCK.
