One is a 1250 the other is a HT20, our local dealer here in Middletown, NY is no longer selling Bolens or Troy parts, any one know where to get help in NY. Thankyou Betty Bakker my e-mail address is beeboppgirl@aol.com

I have had problems with my hydos and both times it was a problem with the coupler on the input shaft wearing out. This is a lot cheaper to fix then a hytro problem.

Hi There,
You have great tractors, if the hydros are bad I know a place to get the parts you need to fix them, the 1250 has a Eaton-12 hydro in it, the HT20 has a Sunstrand hydro in it. You might get more replies if you said " Bolens Tractors " in you post. E-mail me if you need parts and or help repairing these hydros. Ray Martin at rjmartin1200@aol.com

Betty, I may be stating the obvious but sometimes the obvious is over looked. Is the fluid level where it should be? Have the filters been changed? Do these tractors have a hydaulic release valve that may have been left open?

Hi Betty, the decision to sell or fix, would generally depend on the extent of the problem. You of course, would need to weigh the cost of fixing to the value of the machines. Not knowing the exact problem makes it difficult to make that decision. I recently, purchased a working, 12hp Bolens for $250, so if the repairs are going to cost more than, say $150, for the 1250 it may be better to sell....Hope this is of some help....Art
