Any ideas on where to start looking, and if you can find one, what is a reasonable price ?

I too love the old Wheel Horse tractors. I haven't seen any as old as yours, though I Definately would LOVE to have one if not a few. I own one that my dad had. The manual is for a '74, but the engine manual is for a '72. I am unsure what year it is, though it is a C-series, hydrostatic, Kohler 12hp. Instead of a C-120 emblem, it has a sticker that says: CHARGER. I visited your web page, being age 21, I love the antique tractors that others my age laugh at. Maybe they'll wise-up some day.

Sincerely,

Larry R.

I am as Crazy yet, Just not with as much room to hide Wheel horse's here, So I just have two...One of mine is just like them yet Mine has the white metal gas tank that wraps around the steerin' shaft, yet I lack the hood and fenders for that one of my tractors, the other is a hydro static one, little longer, Would you have a Engine to offer I for sale that would move it for pullin' ...at this site, if you go to the spot that says *tractor Photos* you will see my two tractors...Under names (wheel horse PROJECT) I wish I had just a LARGER area to work and store WHEEL HORSE's fella 5 miles away has a 1958 just bout like your tractors, with engine below steering wheel, comes with plow/front mount mower for 250.00 just I have no room for it, and It eats away at me Knowin' this. as it's a real cutie...I shall run along now
Sincerely:

Re: Wheelhorse Diesel in reply to Dave Smith, 05-29-2002 12:07:56
Dave ,

Wheel Horse did try to market a diesel in the United States in the eighties (I believe the Eroupean market already was selling one at this time) but I am not sure why the diesel didn't work out . A prototype Wheel Horse would have some value BUT the documentaion would have to be with the tractor to back up the claim . Why not bring the diesel Wheel Horse to the Wheel Horse Show on June 21 and 22 , 2002 at the South Mountain Fairgrounds in Arendtsville . Pa. , at the show will be some of the most knowlegble Wheel Horse people around including reps from Toro/Wheel Horse !
