These units have been mfg for over 30 yrs w/o major changes:mainly because they are extremely simple in their mechanics and construction.Blades are driven by belt off bottom of crankshaft and front wheel drive system is driven off belt from top of crankshaft."Transmission"per se is a single or double(2spd model)belt tightener activated by a pedal or handlever depending on model.Over the years these had either briggs or Tec engines and electric start was available on later models. I have owned a well used 64ish model for past 17-18 years and it has cost me one 8$ belt and a set of 3,12$ tires in that time.It is a true 0 turning radius mower as it is pulled by the front wheel which revolves 360 degrees to turn or back up.I love mine and would not hesitate to buy another if needed.Only shortcomings I know of are poor traction on hills or wet grass due to one wheel drive and the fact that again with the tricycle design if you drop a wheel in a hole you'll hang it up.Deck is set height and blades are spaced up and down on spindles for mowing height.Like I say,its a primatively simple design which simply works good:IF you have a fairly level lawn without ruts and holes.Info can be obtained at Swisherr web site at www.swisherinc.com/

I own a Big Mow and enjoy it. I would like to know where I can get parts for my mower. The shaft from the steering wheel to the gear on the front wheel is stripped. I have a make-shift gear on it now but this won't last.

Thank You

Did you find your parts for your Big mow? Is yours a R32 or an A32? I have a ton of stuff for these. Let me know.
