I still use my father's Frazer he picked up in the 70s. These machines are very easy to start if tuned properly. You do not have to pull the cord fast like you see guys do on YouTube. The magneto snaps and it fires. I have never pulled more than 2 times. If they smoke the main seal is leaking. There is a bolt on the bottom you remove to drain the oil and it will stop smoking. Stay away from the models with wheel hubs they were not a good design and the spring break. I would suggest you get one with reverse unless you have plenty of room to turn around and no fences. You can buy literally any part you would need online which is pretty good for a 70 year old machine. You prob will not need to replace every tine. I also have a Troy bilt horse and it doesn't compare to the tilling ability of the Frazer. However the Troy bilt is definitely easier to use in every way. They made a 20 inch and 26 inch Frazer. If the machine you are looking at is the 20 inch with reverse BUY IT.
